the onus to correctly introduce a pup to the world,
rests squarely with us, and we take it seriously
We do not sell breeding stock
All puppies are vet checked
Our pups are handled
from birth
and exposed to all manner of situations and
sounds
that they will encounter in their daily lives.
Plenty of proper socialization to a pup goes a long way
in
their
adult life in terms of stable temperament and attitude
which is, we feel, really makes a good Boerboel.
Our pups are handled several times daily,
each receiving the same individual attention.
Gradually they are introduced to life around the farm
When a puppy leaves Cavan Creek Farms, it will have:
Slept in a crate alone
Introduced correctly to stairs
Truck rides
Water in a pond
All kinds of different surfaces
It will have been exposed to all types of weather when taken for a short walk around the farm.
The puppy will also have been gradually exposed to a
wide variety of sounds
from laughing children to power tools. In short they become
part of our family with all the sights and sounds of rural family
life.
Cavan
Creek also insists on
formal obedience training for all our new Boerboel puppy owners. We
also attend
obedience and other training with people that own Cavan Creek
puppies.
